👋 Hello Friends!

Do you or a loved one suffer from allergy symptoms? Are you struggling with nasal congestion, itchy eyes, rashes, or hives?

Are you noticing symptoms after eating certain foods? For example, does a glass of wine trigger your symptoms?

There are 3 conditions that are caused by mast cells releasing histamines, but their mechanisms and treatments are different:

1) Food and Environmental IgE Allergies
2) Histamine Intolerance
3) Mast Cell Activation Syndrome

The first step is distinguishing if your symptoms are from true IgE-mediated allergies vs. Histamine Intolerance. I recommend testing for your allergies with an IgE Food and Environmental panel, which is a blood test available through most standard labs.

Histamine Intolerance often mimics allergies, but is often due to an unhealthy gut microbiome, which reduces the production of an enzyme called DAO that normally breaks down histamines in the gut. Common root causes include SIBO, Leaky Gut, and dysbiosis. Often a person will feel better on a low histamine diet, but this is just a temporary solution until we heal the gut and restore the DAO levels. Please watch my video on Histamine Intolerance to learn more about this condition.

Next, we have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), an acquired disorder where mast cells go awry and start overreacting. They start releasing their granules at the wrong times in the wrong places in the body. This causes chronic multi-system inflammation. People with MCAS start reacting to foods, temperature and atmospheric changes, fragrances, mechanical pressure, and even electromagnetic fields (EMF). Please watch my video on MCAS to learn more about this complex condition.

Natural Treatment Options:

A natural supplement that has shown great efficacy in treating symptoms of allergies, histamine intolerance, and even MCAS is Histamine Support. This is a natural botanical blend of quercetin, stinging nettle, NAC, bromelain, and vitamin C to stabilize mast cells and reduce histamine release. It’s best taken at a dose of 2 capsules twice a day for allergy symptoms, or it can be taken 2 capsules thirty min before eating foods containing histamines.

Are you struggling with chronic sinus inflammation or infections? Sinus Support is a natural herbal blend containing thyme, turmeric, andrographis, eleuthero, licorice, NAC, berberine, and bromelain to help lower inflammation in the sinuses. It can be taken up to 3 capsules daily. Allicidin (from garlic) and Oregano Oil have antimicrobial properties and can help treat mild sinus infections, often helping patients to avoid antibiotics. These can be taken twice daily after food, and have the added benefit of cleaning up the gut microbiome as well!
