Happy New Year from the Nambudripad Family! As we step into 2024, I’m excited to embark with you on this journey as we strive for optimal health and wellness.

What are your health aspirations for 2024? Let me share seven simple yet powerful habits to enhance your wellness journey:

1️⃣ Stay Active Daily: Movement is magic! Try to do something active every day! Whether it’s dancing 💃, jogging 🏃‍♀️, yoga 🧘‍♀️, or lifting weights 🏋️‍♂️, keep it fun and varied!

2️⃣ Aim for 5 Colors A Day!: Eat a rainbow 🌈 of fruits 🍎🍌🍇 and vegetables 🥦🍆🥕. The more colors, the more antioxidants and phytonutrients you are getting!  Remember, frozen fruit or veggies are a great, convenient option!

Basil Walnut Pesto

Pesto sauce is one of my favorites!  It’s full of fresh and bright flavors and loaded in antioxidants and immune-boosting ingredients. You can use it over baked salmon, grilled chicken, or drizzled over an omelette! It’s also amazing tossed with some healthy pasta alternatives like zucchini noodles or hearts of palm pasta.

2 cups of fresh basil leaves, packed
1 cup of fresh Italian parsley, packed
1/4 cup walnuts
1 large clove of garlic
Zest of 1 lemon
1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Blend all the ingredients together using a food processor or Nutribullet.
