Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! 🎄✨
The holidays, although a magical time of the year, can sometimes get us off track with our diet and healthy habits. 🍪🥂
Maybe you ate foods with a lot more sugar than you normally eat, and you’re definitely feeling the effects on your body! Are you feeling a little achy, inflamed, tired, or run down? 🤕 Are you noticing sluggish bowels?
Or maybe you indulged in a few extra glasses of wine? 🍷
Is the stress from traveling and family gatherings wearing you out? 👨👩👧👦
Or perhaps you’re normally gluten and dairy-free, but got exposed to these ingredients at a holiday party. 🍰
Here are some tips to help get back on track:
1️⃣ Go back to eating more anti-inflammatory foods like leafy green salads🥗, green smoothies, chicken soup with lots of vegetables, berries🍓, avocados🥑, pasture-raised eggs, and wild salmon.
2️⃣ Try Intermittent Fasting. Go for a 14-18 hour window of no food to help promote autophagy and activate detox pathways in your cells. ⏰
3️⃣ Support Your Liver. Your liver is your biggest detox organ! By supplementing with Glutathione or Liver Support you can help your liver in detoxification of alcohol and other food additives and chemicals.
4️⃣ Reboot your Gut Microbiome with Probiotic 225 Billion, which has over 5 strains of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium as well as prebiotics from Larch Arabinogalactans. Mix a packet with water and drink it first thing in the morning.
5️⃣ Support your metabolism with Metabolism Support, a natural herbal blend that can help control your appetite and activate AMPK on your cells. 💪
6️⃣ Get in a Good Workout! By sweating and getting your heart rate up, you will feel energized and rejuvenated. Exercise is a great way to promote blood and lymphatic circulation. 🏋️♀️💦
7️⃣ Support your adrenals with Adrenal Support! This is an herbal blend to help you better handle stress. 🌿
8️⃣ Take a calming epsom salt bath.🛁 This is a great way to relax and promote detox pathways.
9️⃣ Current patients are welcome to come in for a Glutathione or Methyl B12 Injection in our office.
🔟 Treat yourself to some beauty sleep! 🛌 Go to bed extra early one evening and wake up the next morning feeling like a new person!
Are you thinking about New Year’s resolutions yet? 🎉
Hope these tips help you to start 2024 feeling your best! 🚀
If you’re not fasting, start the day with colorful ingredients! Aim for 5 colors a day!🌈
Here’s what I ate this morning:
Pasture-Raised Egg 🍳 on Guacamole Toast 🥑: Eggs are not just a source of high-quality protein, but also rich in essential amino acids, omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamins, particularly vitamin D. The avocado in the guacamole adds a healthy dose of monounsaturated fats and fiber, which are excellent for blood sugar stabilization. I like to add a little cilantro, lime, and salt to the smashed avocado for extra flavor.
Sprouted Whole Grain Bread 🍞: If you do eat bread, choose a bread made from sprouted whole grains, which has a lower glycemic index to help maintain stable blood sugar levels.
Berries 🍓🫐: An excellent source of anti-aging polyphenols, antioxidants, and fiber. Berries are a real treat for breakfast!
Orange Slices 🍊: Packed with vitamin C, essential for immune function, and insoluble fiber for digestive health, these bring a bright and refreshing flavor to your breakfast.
For early morning people like myself, breakfast is always a key meal to fuel my body and mind all morning long! These simple and colorful ingredients look pretty on the plate, and taste delightful too!
Cheers to a bright start to 2024! 🎉
