Dear Friends,
I would like to wish you all a healthy and happy Thanksgiving! 🍁 Hope you get to enjoy some delicious food and quality time with your loved ones!
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of year! It’s a great time to reflect on everything we are grateful for, and for all the blessings in our lives. 🙏
I’m grateful to have my own practice and business, where I can help people to live healthier lives! I’m honored to share that my practice was selected for an award, as one of the top medical clinics in Fullerton for 2023! 🏅 It’s a great honor to receive this award for five consecutive years.
2023 was a year of great growth as I devoted a lot of energy into content creation and was able to reach a larger audience across the globe 🌎 through my YouTube channel, which now has over 130,000 subscribers! People in certain parts of the country and world may not have access to an Integrative or Functional Medicine doctor so I hope that my videos can help those looking for the root cause of their symptoms. We have been busy shipping our supplements and natural solutions to people throughout the United States. Thank you to all our loyal followers and customers! 🧡
This year, I released my video featuring my Herbal Protocol for SIBO. Having treated hundreds of patients with SIBO, and having suffered with SIBO myself, I was able to create an effective 4 phase protocol. I’m overjoyed by the immense positive feedback I have received from people across the country who have followed this protocol and have been able to overcome their bloating and symptoms of IBS! 🙌
I’m deeply thankful to have two incredible employees who handle everything from patient care, to customer service, and packing and shipping: Allexis Golderg and Alexandra Villegas. They are wonderful ladies to work with everyday! I’m also grateful for the constant behind-the-scenes support of my husband, Roy Nambudripad, MD.
Thanksgiving is a time where food is abundant and often decadent! 🥧 Two supplements that might help improve digestion over the holidays are Digestive Enzyme Pro and Betaine and Pepsin. Digestive Enzyme Pro has been the #1 best-seller among our customers. It’s a strong broad-spectrum enzyme that can help you better digest proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. It can really help prevent bloating, acid reflux, or abdominal discomfort after a feast! To learn more about Digestive Enzyme Pro, please read my blog post.
Betaine and Pepsin are “stomach acid” pills that can be of additional help in digesting proteins.🦃 Many people don’t make enough stomach acid, a condition called achlorhydria. Without adequate stomach acid, people often notice bloating, burping, and belching after meals. To learn more about the benefits of Betaine and Pepsin, please read my blog post.
What are you all cooking for Thanksgiving? 🍽️ If you’re looking for a tasty and healthy side dish, try my Roasted Brussels Sprouts!
Roasted Brussels Sprouts
This is the perfect side dish for Thanksgiving! Believe it or not, this recipe is kid-approved! My son gobbled up his serving! :)
Brussels sprouts are a superfood! They are in the cruciferous family and a rich source of anti-cancer compounds like sulforaphane (helps your body make more of the master antioxidant, glutathione!) and the estrogen-metabolizers I3C and DIM! They help ensure the estrogens in your body are being metabolized properly.
Preheat oven to 425 F
Ingredients:
About 30 Brussels sprouts
2 tablespoons maple syrup
3 tablespoons light olive oil
1 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 large cloves of garlic, through a garlic press or minced
Wash and cut the Brussels sprouts in 1/2 and put in a glass baking dish.
In a bowl, mix the other ingredients.
Pour over the Brussels sprouts and toss to mix well.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 18 min covered, then remove the aluminum foil and bake an additional 5-10 min until caramelized and some turn golden brown.
For those who find it difficult to digest Brussels sprouts, try it with Digestive Enzyme Pro.
Thank YOU, my amazing community, for all your support!
Warmest regards,
Rajsree Nambudripad, MD
