Hi Friends!
I was honored to give a Zoom Lecture to UCLA students interested in Integrative Medicine this week (@simatucla). It was inspiring to talk with these bright young students eager to learn more about a holistic approach to healing gut diseases!
The talk was on “Functional Gastroenterology” and what makes it unique and different from conventional gastroenterology. The emphasis in Functional/ Integrative Gastroenterology is improving the health of the gut microbiome — our delicate ecosystem of trillions of bacteria in the gut!
Watch the video here:
I presented 3 interesting patient cases:
1) John with Heartburn
2) Sara with IBS and Constipation
3) Sandra with Leaky Gut and Autoimmune disease
We reviewed the importance of food allergies and sensitivities and how every patient is UNIQUE and may need a different diet.
Did you know your gut bacteria could be controlling your cravings?
Listen to an interactive Q&A with the students, and be sure to post your own questions below in the comments. I look forward to hearing from you!
Warm regards,
Rajsree Nambudripad, MD
